BATON ROUGE -- LSU student-athletes took time out of their busy schedules to participate in a community service project with students from the Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired at the Delta Gamma House.

The student-athletes spent time, visited and signed autographs for the kids.

Swimmer Andrew Muller, gymnast Ericka Garcia, women's basketball player Theresa Plaisance and pole-vaulter Joseph Caraway joined football players Kenny Hilliard, J.C. Copeland, Elliott Porter, Kadron Boone, Evan Washington, Christian LaCouture, Lamar Louis, Armand Williams, Terrence Magee, Vadal Alexander, A'Trey-U Jones, Jonah Austin, Micah Eugene, Zach Mettenberger, Connor Neighbors and Jarvis Landry at the event.

"It is great to give back to the community and show that I am more than just an athlete and that I am a people person," Copeland said. "We are just normal people like everyone else. We are lucky. This was a way to get away from football for a little bit and spend time with some kids."
