KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. - In the final tune-up before the dual season gets underway, the LSU men's tennis team is set to compete at the Key Biscayne Collegiate Invitational on Sunday.

The tournament runs through Tuesday and features players from LSU, Denver, Michigan and Texas.

The teams will compete in eight singles and four doubles matches each day beginning at 9 a.m. CT, and all the action will be held at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park.

"This tournament has been an important part of our preparation for dual matches the last several years," LSU head coach Jeff Brown said. "Our team is ready to compete in Miami, get in some training and let it fly in the matches. We are ready to get back into it after the break."

LSU sent Roger Anderson, Boris Arias, Mark Bowtell, Joe Hill, Harrison Kennedy, Chris Simpson, Stefan Szacinski and Tam Trinh to the tournament, and each will compete in singles and doubles over the three-day event.

The Tigers will be matched up with eight players from Michigan for singles play on Sunday starting at 9 a.m., and later in the day LSU will face four doubles teams from Denver.

The tournament winner will be determined by a points system. In singles, a win on court one will give that player eight points while a win on court two would earn seven points, a win on court three would earn six points and so on down to one point for a victory on court eight. In doubles, a player receives four points for a win on court one, three points on court two, two points on court three and one point on court four.

At the end of three days of competition, the players with the most points in singles and doubles will be declared the champions of the Collegiate Invitational.

Individual matchups for Sunday's action will not be determined until the day of competition.

Connect with the LSU men's tennis team through its social media outlets - @LSUTennis on Twitter and www.Facebook.com/lsutennis. Live scores will be provided on both Twitter and Facebook throughout the tournament.
