Women's Golf Eighth Through Two Rounds at Alamo

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Sophomore Madelene Sagstrom shot even par and junior Lindsay Gahm posted a 1-over 73 to pace the LSU women's golf team Tuesday at The Alamo Invitational at the Briggs Ranch Golf Course on Monday.

Sagstrom and Gahm reversed their first round scores so both have shot 1-over 145 after 36 holes and enter Tuesday's final round tied for 20th place in the individual standings which are led by Sarah Beth Davis of Texas A&M at 7-under 137.

Sagstrom had 3-birdies and 3-bogeys in her even par round, while Gahm shot 37-36 in her round.

As a team, LSU posted a round of 9-over par 297 and stands at 12-over 588 for the 36-holes (291-297). LSU is now in eighth place in the 15-team field. Oklahoma is continuing to lead the tournament easily, with a second straight under par round and is at 13-under 563. The Sooners are eight shots ahead of Texas A&M.

LSU also counted a 3-over 75 from Ali Lucas and a 5-over round from Nadine Dreher.

The final round Tuesday, which will also be the final round of the fall season, will be a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. CDT. Live scoring will be available at LSUsports.net through Golfstatresults.com.
