BATON ROUGE - The LSU men's tennis team placed three players in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) preseason singles and doubles rankings, the ITA announced Saturday.

Senior Olivier Borsos checked in at No. 18 in the preseason singles rankings, and sophomore Chris Simpson is listed at No. 58. In the newcomer/freshman rankings, LSU freshman Boris Arias is ranked No. 10.

Borsos' ranking is the highest preseason singles mark for a Tiger since Ken Skupski opened the 2006-07 season ranked No. 12.

Despite never having played a match together, Simpson and Arias are ranked No. 24 in the preseason doubles rankings.

In addition to the rankings, the ITA announced the field in the 2012 ITA All-American Championships that runs Sept. 29 through Oct. 7 at Tulsa's Case Tennis Center.

Simpson and Arias are both listed in the qualifying round of singles while Simpson/Arias and Borsos/Mark Bowtell are scheduled to compete in qualifying doubles.

Borsos will begin the tournament in the singles main draw that does not get underway until Oct. 4.
