BATON ROUGE - As the Louisiana State University Tigers prepare to kick off their first home football game of the 2012 season, the Capital Area Transit System (CATS) will again launch its Touchdown Express service on Saturday, Sept. 1.
"We are thrilled to team with LSU again this year and offer this service to all the fans. On game day, you can take the shuttle and enjoy the game without having to deal with traffic and parking hassles. We have the same boarding locations as last year to serve the community. We are also adding the North Boulevard Town Square and L'Auberge Casino Hotel as boarding locations, and we will be even better than years past. We look forward to seeing our regular riders and encourage new people to give us a try," said CATS Chief Executive Officer Brian Marshall.
The Touchdown Express is an easy and convenient way for Tiger fans to avoid traffic and on game day and ride comfortably to Tiger Stadium. The service consists of routes that will provide continuous service beginning four hours prior to kickoff and ending one hour after the game ends. The service is only $4 round trip.
Individuals can park and board the Touchdown Express at the following locations for all LSU home football games:
- L'Auberge Casino and Hotel Baton Rouge
- Lafayette and Convention (Hotel Indigo and Hilton Hotel)
