BATON ROUGE - Two members of LSU's women's golf team that finished third in the NCAA Women's Championships were named to the 2011-12 National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team announced on Friday.

Austin Ernst and Tessa Teachman were named to the list which encompasses some 585 women's collegiate golfers in Division I, II and III.

The team is one of the toughest to qualify for as not only do the student-athletes have to be important members of the team, they must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50.

Ernst, the 2011 NCAA Individual Champion, earned her second All-American Scholar honor, while Teachman becomes just the second LSU women's golf to be named to the academic scholar team four times in her career. Present LSU Assistant Coach Alexis Rather was also named to the scholar team on four occasions.
