Softball's Mack Earns First Professional Win

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Former LSU softball All-American hurler Brittany Mack secured her first career professional victory as the USSSA Pride swept a four-game series from the Carolina Diamonds in NPF action last weekend.

Mack went the distance on an economical 89 pitchers and recorded 10 strikeouts versus one walk during a 7-1 victory in game two of the series. She was touched up for an unearned run on four hits. The Round Rock, Texas, native sat down the first six batters and 10 of the final 12 batters she faced to claim the win.

The USSSA Pride has tallied an 8-4 record through the first three weeks of the season under LSU head coach Beth Torina and is one game behind the Chicago Bandits in the NPF standings.

Torina, Mack and the USSSA Pride will meet the Carolina Diamonds at Tiger Park in a four-game series from July 6-8. Game times are set for 7:05 p.m. [Friday], 12:05 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. [Saturday] and 2:05 p.m. [Sunday]. Tickets are available for the event at http://www.USSSAPride.com/schedule.
