FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The 21st-ranked LSU men's tennis team (13-9, 4-6 SEC) travels to Fayetteville, Ark., to take on their final opponent of the regular season, the No. 52 Arkansas Razorbacks, Saturday, at Billingsley Tennis Center.
After two big wins over SEC rivals, South Carolina and Florida, last weekend, the Tigers look to finish off the regular season with one more win in conference play.
"We would really like to build off of last weekend and the momentum and energy we played with," head coach Jeff Brown said. "The guys are playing well, but Arkansas really wants this win, so we will need to play our best tennis to come away with the victory."
In singles, LSU's top three players, Olivier Borsos, Neal Skupski and Chris Simpson currently hold a spot in the ITA rankings. Borsos holds the No. 35 position while Skupski ranks 54th and Simpson is No. 81.
In doubles, Simpson shares the No. 54 spot with Skupski and the 84th-ranked position with Borsos. Simpson and Skupski are currently 2-2 on the top court this season and Borsos and Simpson are 8-9.
For Arkansas, the pairing of Matt Walters and Hall Fess are currently ranked 49th in the nation. In singles, Nikolas Zogaj rounds out the team rankings at No. 108.
The Tigers have won their last five meetings with the Razorbacks and hold a 23-4 edge in the all-time series record.
The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. CT.
