BERKELEY, Calif. -- The No. 32 LSU men's tennis team travels to Berkeley, Calif., to participate in the 2012 ITA Men's Kick-Off January 27-30.
Sixty schools will be competing across the country for spots at the ITA National Men's Team Indoor Championship to be hosted by the University of Virginia next month.
Fifteen universities will be hosting ITA Kick-Off Weekend events. The host sites were designated in order of their year-end 2011 Campbell/ITA team ranking.
LSU (1-0) will join No. 13 California, No. 25 Minnesota and No. 27 San Diego at Berkeley, Calif.
The Tigers look to use the momentum from their 5-2 win over Rice to carry them this weekend.
"The team has had a good week of practice following our win over Rice," head coach Jeff Brown said. "We look to build on the confidence we have and put together another entire team performance in the two matches we play this weekend."
The Tigers will face California Sunday at noon CT. Based on the outcome of the matches, they will either face Minnesota or San Diego on Monday.
