2011 Football Road Game Moved to Thursday

BATON ROUGE - LSU will play another Thursday night football game next year as the Tigers will take on Mississippi State in Starkville on Thursday, Sept. 15, officials from the Southeastern Conference and both schools announced on Wednesday.

Kickoff between the Tigers and Bulldogs is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT and the game will be featured Thursday night telecast on ESPN. The Mississippi State contest comes five days after the Tigers host Northwestern State in Tiger Stadium.

2011 Schedule

Next year's game will mark the second time that LSU and Mississippi State will meet on a Thursday night. LSU opened its 2007 national championship season with a  45-0 win over Mississippi State on a Thursday night in Starkville.
