LSU Gains Points, Remains 5th in BCS, 6th in Polls

BATON ROUGE -- After its 51-0 Homecoming beatdown of Louisiana-Monroe, the LSU football team remained No. 5 in the Bowl Championship Series standings and AP Top 25, and No. 6 in the USA Today Coaches' and Harris Interactive Polls released Sunday, but gained votes in each.

LSU (9-1) gained 24 points in the AP poll, 22 points in the coaches poll, and 20 points in the Harris poll. The Coaches and Harris polls figure into the Bowl Championship standings.

The Tigers gained .0073 in the BCS standings to remain the top-ranked one-loss team.

LSU next faces Ole Miss on Saturday, Nov. 20, in Tiger Stadium. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. CT on CBS for Senior Day.
