Ridley Named SEC Player of the Week

BATON ROUGE - LSU running back Stevan Ridley has been named the Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Tigers' dramatic 16-14 win over Tennessee on Saturday in Tiger Stadium.
Ridley, a junior from Natchez, Miss., rushed for 123 yards and one touchdown in the win over the Vols. Ridley score the game-winning TD for the Tigers with no time left on the clock on a 1-yard plunge to cap a frantic comeback for LSU.
Ridley leads the SEC and ranks 15th in the nation in rushing with a 111.4 average per game. In five games, Ridley has rushed for 557 yards and four touchdowns. Ridley, who is averaging 5.7 yards per carry, has rushed for 100 yards three times this year.
The honor is the first of Ridley's career and it marks the sixth time this season that a Tiger has been cited by the SEC for player of the week honors.
