Shaq's Golf Tournament to be Held Sept. 3

BATON ROUGE - Former LSU basketball All-American and veteran NBA star Shaquille O'Neal will host his annual Shaquille O'Neal Life Skills Golf Classic to benefit the LSU CHAMPS program.

The tournament is set for Carter Plantation near Springfield, La., on Friday, Sept. 3. The entry fee is $1,000 for a foursome team and $500 for a hole sponsor. Those entrants with Tiger Athletic Foundation accounts will be credited for their golf tournament contributions.

There will be a morning round starting at 8 a.m. and afternoon round at 1:30 p.m. Breakfast will be served to those playing before the morning round with lunch served to all competitors. Plantation burgers will be served following the conclusion of play after the afternoon session.

Prizes will be offered for low gross and low net, longest drive and closest to the hole.
