BATON ROUGE -- LSU and Tulane have mutually agreed to cancel the remainder of their series in football, both schools announced on Wednesday.

LSU and Tulane had six years remaining on the 10-year deal that was signed in May of 2005. The teams will play this year in Tiger Stadium and one more game in the future, but the date of that game has yet to be determined.

The Tigers were scheduled to open the 2010 season in New Orleans against the Green Wave, however, LSU will now face North Carolina in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta to start next year.
