Two NBA rookies, Jarell Martin and Jordan Mickey, will be on rosters of playoff teams as the long march to the NBA Finals begins for 16 teams Saturday afternoon.

Mickey’s Boston Celtics will open play at 6 p.m. CT Saturday at Atlanta on ESPN in the best of seven series, while Martin’s Grizzles will wait until Sunday evening at 7 p.m. CT to open their playoff series against San Antonio in a game televised on TNT.

Mickey spent much of the season post good numbers for the Maine Red Claws of the NBA Developmental League, but finished the regular season seeing an average of 3.6 minutes per game in 16 contests, averaging 1.3 points and 0.8 rebounds.

Martin had some injury issues before and during the early part of the season, but was able to play 14.1 minutes per game in 27 contests and averaged 5.7 points per game and 3.2 assists.

LSU’s other four NBA players have completed their 2015-16 schedules and here are their complete numbers for the regular season:

Brandon Bass – Los Angeles Lakers – 66 games, 20.3 mpg, 7.2 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 1.1 apg

Johnny O’Bryant III – Milwaukee Bucks – 64 games, 13.0 mpg, 3.0 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 0.5 apg

Garrett Temple – Washington Wizards – 80 games, 24.4 mpg, 7.3 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 1.8 apg

Marcus Thornton – Houston, Washington – 61 games, 18.2 mpg, 9.7 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 1.4 apg
