BATON ROUGE -- Bill McCartney, who led Colorado to the 1990 national title, will headline this year’s LSU Football Coaching Clinic, which will be held on March 15-17.
McCartney, who guided the Buffaloes to three Big 8 titles and to a record of 93-55-5, will address the group of coaches at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 16 at the Sheraton Hotel Atrium.
The 2007 clinic includes high school state championship coaches from Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida.
Featured speakers from the LSU coaching staff include offensive coordinator Gary Crowton, special teams coordinator Bradley Dale Peveto, offensive line coach Greg Studrawa, defensive line coach Earl Lane and strength and conditioning coordinator Tommy Moffitt.
The clinic starts at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 15 with breakout meetings with the LSU coaching staff at the LSU Football Operations Center on campus. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. at the LSU Football Operations Center on Thursday.
Registration opens at 8 a.m. on Friday, March 16 at the Sheraton Hotel Atrium with Friday’s portion of the clinic set to begin at 8:30 a.m. The clinic concludes with the LSU football scrimmage at 1 p.m. in Tiger Stadium on Saturday.
