BATON ROUGE -- A new vinyl billboard was installed onto the back of the south endzone scoreboard of Tiger Stadium this week.

The light grey billboard with purple lettering with gold trim and the LSU helmet covers the back of the 3,600 square foot south scoreboard and features the words "Tiger Stadium" in a unique font to the University.

The billboard, that measures 122 feet wide and 41-4 feet tall, was installed by Lamar Outdoor of Baton Rouge.

Tiger Stadium has been home to the Tigers football team since Nov. 25, 1924, when the LSU coach Mike Donahue's team completed its home schedule against Tulane. LSU's all-time record in the stadium entering the 2006 season is 347-138-18, a 70.7 winning percentage.

The stadium was expanded to its current capacity of 92,400 prior to the 2005 season with the renovation of the west side, making it the sixth-largest on-campus stadium in the nation.
