BATON ROUGE -- Tiger fans are encouraged to “Paint Atlanta Purple” when LSU takes on No. 14 Georgia Tech in the Chick-fil-A Bowl on Dec. 31, but those who are unable to make the trip to the Georgia Dome can still support the Tigers by purchasing and donating tickets to a worthy cause.

Tickets that are donated to LSU Athletics will be given to Atlanta-area youth organizations, as well as for distribution to military personnel through USO-Georgia.

Fans have the opportunity to make ticket donations online at using the bowl order form. The order form provides LSU fans the option of either making a Chick-fil-A Bowl Purchase or donating tickets to military and youth organizations.

“This is an opportunity to create new LSU fans in the Georgia area, to help the youth of that area become familiar with LSU football and also to show appreciation to our members of the armed services who may be home visiting their families during the holiday season,” said LSU Director of Athletics Joe Alleva. “Any opportunity to spread the good word about LSU is important.”

The purchase of an individual ticket to the Chick-fil-A Bowl is $60 and the deadline for donating tickets is Dec. 28.
