Spring Tiger Tour Resumes Tuesday in Lafayette

BATON ROUGE -- The LSU Tiger Tour, featuring LSU head coach Les Miles and other LSU personalities, gets into full swing with six stops this month starting on Tuesday, May 9 at 7 p.m. at the Cajundome Convention Center in Lafayette.

The LSU Tiger Tour 2006, a speaking tour to meet the fans of Tiger football across the region, is a joint effort of the Tiger Athletic Foundation, the LSU Foundation and the LSU Alumni Association.

The tour includes speaking appearances at various spots with LSU Chancellor Sean O'Keefe, LSU athletics director Skip Bertman, Tiger Athletic Foundation CEO Major General Ron Richard and LSU Alumni Association president Charlie Roberts.  LSU head men's basketball coach John Brady and head women's basketball coach Pokey Chatman are also scheduled to join the tour at several locations.

The LSU Tiger Tour 2006 began in Houston on April 18, and now moves onto Lafayette at the Cajundome Convention Center on May 9, Alexandria at the Riverfont Center on May 10, Shreveport/Bossier City at the Horseshoe Casino Riverdome on May 15, Monroe at the Civic Center on May 16, Pensacola at the New World Landing on May 22 and Dallas at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on May 23.

In June, the tour will be in Baton Rouge at the Lod Cook Alumni Center on June 6, then go to Mandeville at Benedict's Mandeville on June 8, to Jackson at the Hilton on June 12 and to Houma at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center on June 14.  The tour will finish with stops at Lake Charles at the Isle of Capri Casino on July 20 and at New Orleans at the Hilton on July 23.
