Griffin In Top 5 At LSU Tiger Golf Classic

BATON ROUGE – Sophomore Kendall Griffin is currently tied for fourth place and the LSU women’s golf team is in a tie for fifth place after the first round of the 2019 LSU Tiger Golf Classic at the University Club in Baton Rouge.

Griffin shot even par to lead the Tigers, her fourth round of the season hitting par or lower. Freshman Alden Wallace was the second team scorer at 3-over 75 and is tied for 15th place. LSU made the turn in first place, but struggled on the back nine to stay at the top of the leaderboard.

LSU will be paired up with Old Dominion and South Alabama for Round 2 on Saturday. The Tigers will tee off at 8:30 a.m. CT from Hole No. 1. No. 25 Campbell is in the lead at 3-over 291. Live scoring will be available at GolfStat.com.
