Richardson Wraps Up Oracle ITA Fall Championships

SURPRISE, Ariz. – Sophomore Eden Richardson wrapped up competition at the Oracle ITA Fall National Championships Friday.

No. 38 Richardson started off her day with a win against No. 60 Alexa Graham of North Carolina, taking the match in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3.

After advancing to the quarterfinal round of singles play, she faced No. 30 Christina Rosca of Vanderbilt, and dropped the first set 2-6. The sophomore Tiger bounced back to take the second set, 6-4, forcing a third set but was unable to secure the last set giving Rosca the win, 4-6. 

"It’s been a really incredible week of the best players in college tennis all competing against one another,"  said co-head coach Julia Sell. "Eden and Jess showed incredible poise and heart this week and ended the Fall on a high note."
