BATON ROUGE, La. – The LSU women’s golf team will wrap up the Fall portion of the 2018-19 season at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, North Carolina on October 26-28. The first two rounds at Country Club of Landfall will have split tee start times beginning at 7:30 a.m. CT, while the final round on Sunday will be a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m.

Kathleen Gallagher, Monica Dibildox, Alden Wallace, Kendall Griffin and Presley Baggett will be the lineup for the Tigers’ fourth tournament of the season.

The team, under the direction of first-year head coach Garrett Runion, has already seen a drop in scoring over the six rounds played this season. LSU is currently averaging 294.00 per round, down from last season’s 301.96 average, and continues to produce lower scores with each round.

Team Notes

  • Gallagher (Sr.) tied her career low in the first round of the Magnolia Invitational with a 68 and posted her best individual finish of the season.
  • Dibildox (Jr.) earned her second top-15 finish of the season at the Magnolia Invitational and has shot par or lower in half of her rounds played this season. She hit a career-low 70 in the first round of the Mason Rudolph Women’s Championship.
  • Griffin (So.) had her best individual finish of the season at the Magnolia Invitational and shot a season-low in the opening round. She also picked up an ace on October 18 in a practice round at LSU’s home course, the University Club, on Hole No. 8.
  • Baggett (Fr.) shot the best round of her rookie season with a par 72 in the second round of the Magnolia Invitational and had her best finish of the season.
  • Wallace (Fr.) has hit par or lower in three of her first six rounds as a rookie. She posted her career low of 68 in the second round of the Mason Rudolph Women’s Championship. Wallace finished that tournament with the first top-5 finish of her collegiate career, 5-under in a tie for fourth place.
  • LSU is hoping to get a full 54-hole tournament in this week. All three of LSU’s tournaments this season have been shortened to 36 holes by weather.
  • LSU’s tie for fourth place at the Magnolia Invitational gave the Tigers some crucial wins over SEC competition early in the season (Auburn, Mississippi State and tied Ole Miss).
  • Dibildox and Wallace lead the team with averages of 72.67, followed by Gallagher at 72.83.

The Country Club of Landfall (Dye Course) will play at par 72 at a distance of 6,166 yards. The course sustained some damage during Hurricane Florence, but, thanks to the hard work of the club membership and staff, is ready for this weekend’s competition.

The 18-team field includes host UNCW, No. 8 Arkansas, UCF, No. 5 Duke, No. 20 Furman, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Penn State, No. 19 Purdue, No. 17 South Carolina, No. 2 Virginia and No. 14 Wake Forest. Rankings are based on the October 23 Golfstat Team rankings.

LSU is scheduled to tee off with Virginia and Michigan at 7:30 a.m. CT from Hole No. 1. Live scoring will be available at
