Dibildox Top Scorer in Final Round at SEC Championships

HOOVER, Ala. – LSU sophomore Monica Dibildox shot 1-over 73 as the top scorer for the Lady Tigers in the final round of stroke play at the 2018 SEC Women’s Golf Championship at Greystone Golf & Country Club in Hoover, Alabama.

Dibildox shot 2-under over the final 12 holes of the round including an eagle on the par-5 Hole No. 3 on the Legacy Course. The native of Mexico was the second-leading scorer for LSU in the tournament at 14-over, while senior Claudia De Antonio was the Lady Tigers’ top overall scorer at 12-over for the 54 holes.

Senior Sydney Cavin shot a 76 in the final round to finish at 16-over for the tournament, while junior Kathleen Gallagher had her best round of the tournament with a 77 to round out Friday’s scoring.

No. 10 South Carolina won stroke play at 3-over, while No. 2 Alabama finished 8-over and No. 3 Arkansas was 11-over. The top eight teams in stroke play advance to the match-play quarterfinals on Saturday morning. LSU finished 14th overall.

LSU will have to wait until Wednesday, April 25, to find out its NCAA postseason fate.
