Women's Golf Set to Compete in SEC Championships

BATON ROUGE – The LSU women’s golf team is set to compete in the 2018 SEC Golf Championship at Legacy Course of the Greystone Golf & Country Club in Hoover, Alabama.
The Lady Tigers will take part in the SEC’s first-ever five day championship beginning with their first round Wednesday, April 17 at 8:20 where they will be matched up with Tennessee. Rounds two and three will take place on Thursday and Friday (April 18-19), before the tournament switches to match play for the final two days (April 20-21). The Legacy Course will play to a 6253-yard par 72.
The starting lineup for the Lady Tigers will feature Claudia De Antonio, Kathleen Gallagher, Sydney Cavin, Mary Frances Chauvin, and Monica Dibildox. De Antonio leads the team with two top-10 finishes and has a scoring average of 74.26. This will be De Antonio’s second appearance at the SEC Championships.
Gallagher and Cavin each have one top-10 finish and sit in second and third on the team in scoring average. This will be Cavin and Gallagher’s third time teeing it up in SEC’s. Gallagher had a Top 20 finish at the SEC Championships last year. Dibildox will be competing in her second SEC Championships, while Chauvin will see her first post-season action.
