Men's Golf Completes Day 1 at Valspar Collegiate

PALM CITY, Fla. – Junior Nathan Jeansonne led the Tigers to a seventh-place start on the first day of the Valspar Collegiate with a 1-under 70. Jeansonne was the only LSU golfer in red figures on the day.

Oklahoma State jumped out to a 4-shot lead over Texas A&M with a team score of 7-under. Wake Forest sits in third with a score of 1-under, while Baylor is in fourth with a team score of even par.

Luis Gagne and Trey Winstead each carded a 1-over par 72, putting them in a tie for 27th. Philip Barbaree shot 2-over par placing him in 38th, while Jacob Bergeron finished in a tie for 50th.
