Griffin Finishes Second at Harder Hall Invitational
SEBRING, Fla. – LSU freshman women’s golfer Kendall Griffin got in a little course time over the semester break. The native of Sebring, Florida, finished in a tie for second at the 63rd Harder Hall Women’s Invitational in her hometown.
Griffin grew up down the road from the Harder Hall Golf Club in Sebring and despite extremely cold conditions posted a 222, six strokes behind the winner Yujeong Son. Wednesday’s first round was cancelled to shorten the event to 54 holes over three days.
Griffin shot a 4-over 76 on Thursday, then warmed up on Friday to shoot an even 72 on the 6,151-yard course. She wrapped up competition on Saturday with a 2-over 74.
Griffin and her LSU teammates get back to Baton Rouge for the 2018 Spring semester this week. The Lady Tigers return to action on Sunday, Feb. 18 in the first round of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate at English Turn Country Club in New Orleans.
