Volleyball Continues Weekend with Arkansas

BATON ROUGE – The LSU Volleyball team (12-4, 3-2 SEC) continues its Southeastern Conference home weekend at 1 p.m. CT Sunday against Arkansas (12-5, 2-3 SEC) inside the Maravich Center.
The matchup between the Tigers and the Razorbacks will be aired live on the SEC Network+. Fans can access the match online through WatchESPN.com and the app.

Last Time Out
LSU is coming off a three-set sweep of Mississippi State. The Tigers claimed the match by scores of 25-13, 25-21 and 25-22. Freshman Taylor Bannister led the team for the 11th match of the year with 13 kills. Senior Gina Tillis anchored down the back row, tying her career-high in digs with 21.
A Look at Arkansas
Arkansas comes into Baton Rouge with a 12-5 overall record and a 2-3 record in the SEC. The Razorbacks are coming off a five-set victory at home over Ole Miss. The Razorbacks have lost three of their last four matches.Pilar Victoria leads the offense for Arkansas and also leads the conference, registering 5.92 kills per set. She has a total of 391 kills on the season. Rachel Rippee directs the Razorback offense, averaging 11.55 assists per set, while Okiana Valle leads the back row with 3.53 digs per set.
All-Time vs. Arkansas
Arkansas leads the all-time series 28-18 and has won the last three meetings. The last time the Tigers took down the Razorbacks was on Nov. 2, 2014.
>> The Tigers are now 3-0 at home, which is the first time the Tigers have won the first three home matches since 2013.
>> Gina Tillis is getting close to 1,000 career kills. With her four kills against Mississippi State, she now sits at 964 with 36 kills left to go to reach the feat. She will become the 22nd Tiger in program history to reach 1,000 kills.
>> Among the league on the year, the Tigers rank sixth in hitting percentage at .244 and are seventh in opponent hitting percentage at .188.
>> Anna Zwiebel ranks sixth in the conference in assists at 9.54 per set, while Raigen Cianciulli is seventh with 3.86 digs per set. Jacqui Armer is fourth in blocks at 1.27 per set, which also ranks 45th in the nation.
