BATON ROUGE -- The LSU men’s tennis team will open its five-match home stand against Santa Clara Friday at 5 p.m. CT at the LSU Tennis Complex.

Fans can attend the match for free, and those in attendance will receive a men's tennis t-shirt. For those following at home, live match updates will be available at www.lsustats.com and on Twitter @lsutennis.

The Tigers have a 1-2 record after earning their first win against South Florida in the ITA Kick-Off Weekend. Friday’s match marks the first meeting against the Broncos, who are 3-0 on the season.

“We are all ready for the first home match of the year against a good Santa Clara team,” head coach Jeff Brown said. “We want to see improvement in a few areas, and tomorrow is our opportunity to show that.”

Last week, senior Justin Butsch clinched the match against USF with a win on court two against No. 77 Peter Betran, 6-7, 6-4, 6-3. He has a 1-1 record on the second court through the first three matches of the dual season while senior Jordan Daigle sports a 2-0 record on court one.

For up-to-date information and behind-the-scenes access on the Tigers, fans can follow the LSU men’s tennis team on Twitter and Instagram at @lsutennis and on Facebook at www.facebook.com/lsutennis.
