Football Lands Eight on AP All-SEC Teams

BATON ROUGE -- Eight LSU football players were named to the AP All-SEC teams released Thursday, including five who received first-team honors from a regional panel of writers.

Sophomore Derrius Guice, who one of two LSU running backs to set single-game rushing records in 2016, and senior center Ethan Pocic represented the Tigers offense on the first time. Cornerback Tre'Davious White, safety Arden Key and linebacker Arden Key were on the first-team defense.

Among the 57 honorees, LSU's had the second-most players on the team with eight. Alabama led the way with a dozen.

LSU was represented by three players on the second team, including running back Leonard Fournette - who missed 4-of-11 games with an ankle injury - offensive guard Josh Boutte and linebacker Kendell Beckwith.
