BATON ROUGE, La. -- Tickets for the 2016 LSU Baseball First Pitch Banquet are on sale at The event, which signifies the beginning of the college baseball season, will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, January 31 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Baton Rouge.

The “Voice of the Tigers,” Jim Hawthorne, will serve as the keynote speaker for the banquet, and Hawthorne’s successor as LSU’s radio broadcaster, Chris Blair, will also address the audience.

Among the many former LSU players scheduled to attend the banquet is College World Series hero Warren Morris, whose walk-off home run lifted the 1996 Tigers to the NCAA title.

Members of the 2016 LSU squad will conduct an autograph session with ticket holders beginning at 6 p.m. Following are more details about the First Pitch Banquet:

A sponsor table includes tickets at a designated table, special tickets to attend a VIP reception with LSU coaches, administrators and former players, a signed photo with coach Paul Mainieri, a sponsor bag, and the table sponsor name included in the banquet program.
