Football Welcomes Four Early Enrollees for 2016

BATON ROUGE – The LSU football team added four early enrollees to its roster on Wednesday as the spring semester started here on the LSU campus.
The four early enrollees, all of which will take part in spring practice in March and April, include linebacker Michael Divinity Jr., cornerback Saivion Smith, running back Devin White and wide receiver Stephen Sullivan.
Divinity comes to LSU from John Ehret High School where he was ranked among the Top 50 players in the nation by ESPN.com. Divinity helped John Ehret to the state 5A title game and was named the Defensive Player of the Year in Louisiana for 2015.
Smith, a five-star prospect rated as the No. 1 cornerback in the nation according to Scout.com, joins LSU after playing at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
White, who at 250 pounds, brings a big and explosive talent to the LSU backfield. White rushed for over 5,000 yards and 81 touchdowns during his prep career at North Webster High School in Springhill, La.
Sullivan was one of the top receivers in Louisiana during the fall, with over 1,000 receiving yards as a senior at Donaldsonville (La.) High School. Sullivan comes to LSU listed as the nation’s No. 71 rated prospect according to ESPN.com.
LSU will round out the remainder of its 2016 signing class on Wednesday, Feb. 3 with the annual National Signing Day.
