Trained as a senior international elite competitor at Great American Gymnastics Express (GAGE) under coaches Al Fong and Armine Barutyan Fong … Served as an alternate for the U.S. Gymnastics Olympic team, known as the “Fierce Five,” that won gold at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London … Missed the entire 2013 club season after suffering an injury but returned to health in 2014 while competing for St. Louis Gymnastics Centre … Established herself as one of the nation’s premier gymnasts prior to her injury … Finished fifth on beam and sixth on bars, floor and the all-around at the U.S. Olympic Trials in 2012 … Placed second on beam, fourth on floor and sixth in the all-around at the 2012 Visa (now P&G) Championships … Earned second place on floor and third on beam at the 2012 Secret U.S. Classic … Graduated from Heritage Classical Christian Academy.
