BATON ROUGE – The LSU sand volleyball program will hold a mandatory meeting for prospective student-athletes on Tuesday, September 2nd at 6 p.m. on the fifth floor of the Moran Family Center for Athletics Administration Building located next to Tiger Stadium.
To be eligible, prospective student-athletes must be enrolled in 12 hours as a full-time student at LSU’s Baton Rouge campus and not be classified as a visiting student or enrolled in Tiger Bridge for the 2014 fall semester. They also are required to possess an overall LSU GPA of 2.0 or above and not be on scholastic warning or probation. Information regarding the prospective student-athletes academic and medical histories will be collected at the meeting.
Team tryouts for the program’s 2015 season will be held on Thursday, Sept. 11 and Friday Sept. 12 at Mango’s Beach Club, the home of LSU sand volleyball. Mango’s is located at 11550 West Bricksome Drive off of South Sherwood Forest Boulevard in Baton Rouge. The tryout will be held from 4-5:30 p.m.
In order to participate at the tryout, prospective student-athletes must receive initial clearance from LSU’s Athletics training and compliance staff, have proof of medical insurance, in addition to being in attendance at the Sept. 2 mandatory meeting.
