Women's Hoops Arrives at NCAA Louisville Regional
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The LSU women’s basketball team arrived at the NCAA Louisville Regional Friday afternoon as the Lady Tigers continued preparations for Sunday’s Sweet 16 matchup with third-seeded and No. 4 Louisville.
Tip time is on-tap for 1:30 p.m. CT, and the game will be televised by ESPN2 in addition to http://www.watchespn.com/ and the Watch ESPN App. The LSU Sports Radio Network will carry the game on its affiliates led by flagship station Talk 107.3 FM in Baton Rouge and free inside the Geaux Zone at www.LSUsports.net/live. LSU coaches, players, staff, cheerleaders and band took a 90-minute direct flight from Baton Rouge to Louisville. The team is headquartered at the Seelbach Hilton after going through a two-hour workout at nearby Spalding University. The Lady Tigers will take in an evening movie leading into dinner and an evening film session.
LSU will hold a Saturday media press conference and meet with the ESPN crew before taking to the KFC Yum! Center floor for an afternoon practice.
Sunday’s winner advances to face the winner of No. 1 seeded Tennessee and No. 4 Maryland during Tuesday’s NCAA Elite 8 Round.
