Houston Astros Caravan Visits Alex Box Stadium

BATON ROUGE, La. -- The Houston Astros Winter Caravan visited Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field on Wednesday and  three Astros players were given a tour of the facility by LSU coach Paul Mainieri.

Houston pitcher Josh Fields, pitcher Josh Zeid and infielder Brett Wallace also had a chance to meet with some of the LSU players engaged in preseason workouts.

The Astros began their day in downtown Baton Rouge with a “Raise the Flag” ceremony at the Governmental Building on Third Street.

The Astros Caravan started on Monday and is making its way around Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. With a combination of community outreach appearances, the seven-day tour will visit 31 cities.
