BATON ROUGE -- After winning 10 games for the fourth time in as many seasons, the LSU football team finished 2013 ranked No. 14 in both the AP Top 25 and the USA Today Coaches' Poll released following Monday night's final BCS Championship game.

Behind running back Jeremy Hill, a stout defensive effort and true freshman quarterback Anthony Jennings, LSU (10-3) defeated Iowa in the New Year's Day Outback Bowl in Tampa, 21-14.

Hill amassed 216 yards rushing with two touchdowns and Jennings ran for an early score as the Tigers set a school record with 37 rushing touchdowns in 2013. The Tigers converted 10-of-21 third downs while holding the Hawkeyes to 76 rushing yards.

LSU has finished the season in the polls for 10 of the past 11 seasons.
