BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – LSU cornerback Tre'Davious White has been named to the Southeastern Conference All-Freshman Team, which was announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon.
The teams were voted on by the SEC’s 14 head coaches, who were not able to vote for their own players.
White, a Shreveport native, played in all 12 games with 10 starts. He recorded 52 tackles – 36 solo – to go along with 2.5 tackles for loss. He tallied one interception, eight pass deflections and one forced fumble in his true freshman campaign.
After seeing action in the first two weeks of the season, White entered the starting lineup in his third career collegiate game and was a fixture in the final 10 games of the year. White was the first true freshman to start at cornerback for LSU since Tyrann Mathieu against UL-Monroe on Nov. 13, 2010.
