SOPHOMORE SEASON (2014)
Started all 29 matches for the Tigers in her sophomore season, playing in 113 of a possible 116 sets on the season… Was named preseason All-SEC, to the Purdue Mortar Board Premier All-Tournament Team and the SEC Offensive Player of the Week… Became the second player in the larger SEC to be named a repeat All-SEC performer, while becoming just the fifth player in program history to be selected to multiple all-region teams… Became the first player since Brittnee Cooper in 2009 to be named to the All-America first team by the AVCA… Led LSU in kills, becoming the first player since 2010 to earn over 400 kills in a single-season with 445, averaging 3.94 per set and hitting .383 on the year… Finished tied for third on the team in service aces with 19, averaging 0.17 per set… Led LSU in blocks for the second consecutive season, totaling 166 with 37 on the solo end and 129 assisted, averaging 1.47 per set… Had 53 digs on the year averaging 0.47 per set… Averaged 5.00 points per set with 565.5 on the season… Earned 15 or more kills in 16 of 29 team matches, with 25 total double-digit kill matches… Earned six or more blocks in 17 matches for the team on the season… Hit .667 against Tennessee and has hit .400 or better 14 times this season…. Opened the season hitting .452 with 17 kills, three aces and two blocks against San Diego... Came back with a 16-kill effort with three more aces and two digs in the win over South Florida... Powered home 19 kills and hit .394 with seven blocks against Samford... Hit .345 against Florida State with 14 kills, three digs and six blocks... Drilled 18 kills in the UTSA Classic opener against Baylor, while blocking seven shots with two service aces... Connected on a career high 23 kills against UTSA, while hitting a season-high .475 with eight blocks, four digs and two more service aces... Earned her first double-digit blocking match of the year with 11 against Baylor in the tournament finale with nine kills... Led LSU with 13 kills and seven blocks against No. 14 Kentucky... Earned her first double-double of the season with 17 kills and 12 blocks against Alabama... Powered home a game-best 17 kills against Florida with seven blocks against the Gators... Earned 10 kills with a career high five digs and five blocks and two service aces against Arkansas... Had eight kills on 16 swings for a .438 average, with seven blocks, two digs and two assists against Mississippi State... Hit a blistering .667, connecting on 12 kills and no errors on 18 swings against Tennessee with a dig and a block... Hit .611 with 12 kills, to go along with her five blocks, three digs and service ace against Missouri... Had 12 kills and had eight blocks with a dig in the win over Kentucky... Led all players with 16 kills on a .414 hitting percentage with six blocks in the win at Ole Miss... Led all players with 15 kills, hitting .407, with five blocks and a dig against Georgia... Led all players with 21 kills and hit .300 with four blocks and two digs against South Carolina... Powered home 23 kills on a .415 average, while stopping six shots in the win at Arkansas... Led all players with 18 kills with a .444 average, with four digs and two blocks against Texas A&M... Had 16 digs, hitting .538, with nine blocks and four digs against Tennessee... Set a new career high with 25 kills to go along with eight blocks and three digs against Mississippi State... Led all players with 15 kills on a .367 percentage, with seven blocks, two digs and two service aces against Missouri... Had 11 kills on a .364 hitting percentage, while adding three blocks and a dig against Auburn at home... Tied for the match high with 17 kills, hitting .400 on the afternoon, while adding three digs, a block, service ace and assist in the win at South Carolina... Hit .407 against Oklahoma in the first round of the NCAA tournament, finishing with 13 kills while earning six blocks and a dig against the Sooners… Led the match with 19 kills in the second round match against Oregon, earning three solo blocks and a dig against the Ducks.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2013)
Made an instant impact and started 31 of 32 matches at middle blocker … LSU’s first freshman in program history to earn AVCA All-American Honorable Mention, AVCA South Regional Freshman of the Year and AVCA All-South Region honors … Also picked up All-SEC and All-SEC Freshman Team accolades … Joined Marina Skender (2005) and Desiree Elliott (2010) as only players to earn All-SEC and All-SEC Freshman Team honors in same season … Powered home 391 kills at a 3.01 per set average to rank second on the team … The 391 kills were the most for a freshman since Lauren DeGirolamo connected for 339 kills in 2006 … Holman’s 3.01 per set average was third-highest among SEC middle blockers and 16th overall in the SEC rankings … Cranked 10-plus kills a team-leading 25 times … Racked up 200 total blocks for an SEC-leading 1.54 per set mark … Became the eighth player in SEC history to amass 200-plus blocks, and the sixth freshman in SEC history to pace the league in blocks per set … The 200 blocks are a LSU freshmen record and the fourth-most for a single season in program history … First player in LSU history to collect 200 blocks in the rally scoring era which began during the 2001 season … Her 200 blocks also are third-best in SEC history during the rally scoring era … The 1.54 blocks per game were fifth nationally and tops among freshmen ... Smacked 15 kills and added nine blocks versus San Diego State (Aug. 31) … Began a run of 10 consecutive matches with double digit kills (Aug. 31-Sept. 27) … Turned in 15 kills and 10 blocks at Rice (Sept. 7) for LSU’s first double-double in kills and blocks since former All-American Brittnee Cooper against Denver on Aug. 29, 2009 … Picked up Rice Invitational Tournament MVP and notched the first of three SEC Freshman of the Week awards (Sept. 9) for her efforts … Added 10 kills on a .476 hitting clip and a season’s best 14 blocks as LSU erased a two-set deficit at Miami (Sept. 13) … The 14 blocks were tied for seventh place during a single match, and the most for a LSU player since former All-American Ivana Kuzmic against Houston on Nov. 27, 2004 Ripped 19 kills and tacked on seven blocks as LSU collected another two-set comeback win over Baylor (Sept. 20) … Hammered 18 kills coupled with seven blocks as LSU wiped away a 2-0 hole at Texas A&M (Oct. 9) … Garnered SEC’s Offensive Player of the Week (Oct. 15), only other player to win the award as a freshman was Marina Skender in 2005 … Popped 12 kills and six blocks against No. 5 Florida (Nov. 1) … Exploded for a career-high 20 kills on a .421 hitting ratio at No. 20 Kentucky (Nov. 10) … Secured 13 kills and 10 blocks versus Auburn (Nov. 15) … Provided 10 kills and matched a season-high 14 blocks at Tennessee (Nov. 17) … Belted 11 kills on 14 swings en route to a career-best .786 hitting percentage at No. 7 Florida (Nov. 22) … Registered 15 kills and six blocks as LSU came out of a 2-0 deficit against No. 24 Michigan (Dec. 6) during the NCAA Tournament First Round.
