BATON ROUGE – The LSU sand volleyball program will hold a mandatory meeting for prospective student-athletes on Tuesday, Aug. 27 at 8 p.m. on the fifth floor of the Moran Family Center for Athletics Administration Building located next to Tiger Stadium.
To be eligible, prospective student-athletes must be enrolled in 12 hours as a full-time student at LSU’s Baton Rouge campus and not be classified as a visiting student or enrolled in Tiger Bridge for the 2013 fall semester. They also are required to possess an overall LSU GPA of 2.0 or above and not be on scholastic warning or probation. Information regarding the prospective student-athletes academic and medical histories will be collected at the meeting.
Team tryouts for the program’s inaugural 2014 season will be held on Sunday, Sept. 15 at Mango’s Beach Club, the home of LSU sand volleyball. Mango’s is located at 11550 West Bricksome Drive off of South Sherwood Forest Boulevard in Baton Rouge. The two-hour tryout will be held from 4-6 p.m.
In order to participate at the tryout, prospective student-athletes must receive initial clearance from LSU’s Athletics training and compliance staff in addition to being in attendance at the Aug. 27 mandatory meeting.
