FRESHMAN SEASON (2014)
Competed all season long on beam and delivered strong performances in the postseason … Earned First-Team All-America honors on beam after posting a season-high tying 9.90 at the NCAA Championships Semifinal I (4/18) … Followed up her fantastic beam routine in the semifinal with another solid performance to score a 9.875 in the NCAA Super Six Finals (4/19) … Wrapped up her freshman season in stellar fashion by scoring a 9.8875 at the NCAA Individual Event Finals (4/20) to finish in a tie for third place nationally on beam … Is the first freshman in LSU history to qualify to the NCAA Individual Event Finals and her third-place national finish is the highest finish for an LSU gymnast on beam since Susan Jackson won the beam national title in 2010 … Became the first LSU freshman to earn All-America honors on beam since Colleen Barger in 1997, and she became only the second LSU gymnast in history to earn First-Team All-America honors on beam as a freshman, joining Jeanie Beadle who accomplished the feat in 1977 … Tallied the first 9.90 of her career on beam at the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional (4/5) as she helped LSU earn a 49.600 in the event, the second-best beam total in program history … Competed once in the vault lineup and scored a 9.875 versus Kentucky (3/14) … Averaged a 9.797 on beam and competed in the event in 12 of 15 team meets … Posted a 9.825 or higher 10 times in 13 beam routines during the season … Earned NACGC/W Scholastic All-America honors and SEC Academic Honor Roll recognition.
Coached by her mother, Donna, at Acadiana Gymnastics where she competed as a level 10 gymnast … Competed at the 2013 J.O. National Championships and placed fifth on vault … Had a stellar performance at 2013 Regional Championships where she earned second place in the all-around, finished second on vault, fourth on beam, fifth on floor and eighth on bars … Was outstanding at the 2013 Louisiana State meet where she swept all individual titles, winning vault, bars, beam, floor and the all-around, and she received the Fruge’ Award for the highest all-around total out of all level 10 age groups … Competed at the 2012 J.O. NIT and took home the vault title as well as a second-place finish on floor and fifth place in the all-around … Recorded runner-up finishes on vault and beam as well as a fifth-place finish on floor at the 2012 Regional Championships … Nearly swept all titles at the 2012 Louisiana State Championships when she captured the vault, beam, floor and all-around titles and placed second on bars … Attended Lafayette High School.
