BATON ROUGE - The Lady Tigers (4-2) will return to the "Dub" Saturday to take on McNeese State University (3-2) at 3 p.m. CT.
"After a cold and rainy week in California, we are thrilled to be playing at home again in front of our amazing fans," head coach Julia S. Sell said. "McNeese is a solid team, and we will have to be on top of our games tomorrow."
LSU spent the weekend on the West Coast, taking on Long Beach State Saturday and UC Irvine Monday. Despite marking the team's first two losses of the season, the Mary Jeremiah and Ariel Morton doubles matchup notched its fifth consecutive win and fourth straight in the top position, maintaining an undefeated record in the No. 1 spot. The Kaitlin Burns and Ella Taylor duo also debuted on court three against UC Irvine and finished first with a quick 8-1 victory.
This will mark only the second time the Lady Tigers face McNeese, last meeting the Cowgirls in 1986 with an LSU victory.
