BATON ROUGE - After ascending to the top of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Top 25 power ranking on Monday, the LSU Lady Tigers are officially the consensus No. 1-ranked team in the country this week as they remain atop the latest Track & Field News Women's Dual Meet Rankings.

This marks the first time in 2013 that one team has earned the No. 1 national ranking by both Track & Field News and the USTFCCCA in the same week.

The Lady Tigers have held the top spot in the Track & Field News Women's Dual Meet Top 20 Rankings in each of its three editions this season as they continue to ride a wave of momentum following an impressive victory over No. 2-ranked Texas A&M and No. 3-ranked Arkansas at the Texas A&M Triangular in College Station on Jan. 19.

They have also earned their first No. 1 national ranking in the USTFCCCA Top 25 women's power ranking of the season following an impressive five weeks of competition in which they have accounted for 10 performances that rank among the Top 10 of the NCAA event rankings for 2013.

The Lady Tigers, Aggies and Razorbacks are joined by the 18th-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide as the four teams from the Southeastern Conference featured in this week's dual meet rankings published by Track & Field News. While the SEC features the top three teams in the ranking, the Big 10 Conference leads the way with five programs ranked in the Top 20 this week.

Track & Field news states that its dual meet rankings are likely to remain unchanged in the final release on Monday as none of the Top 20 teams will compete in dual-meet action this weekend.
