Men's Tennis Advances in ITA Rankings

BATON ROUGE - The LSU (2-1) men's tennis team moved up to No. 24 in the ITA rankings announced Wednesday.

The Tigers closed out the ITA Kick-Off Classic on Sunday by defeating then-No. 23 Indiana, who dropped out of the Top 25 this week.

The Southeastern Conference has nine teams in the Top 25, eight of which LSU is set to face this season, including No. 6 Georgia (2-0), No. 9 Kentucky (5-0-1), No. 10 Mississippi State (4-0), No. 11 Florida (6-0), No. 12 Ole Miss (2-0), No. 15 Tennessee (9-0), No. 16 Texas A&M (4-0), and No. 21 Auburn (4-1).

Two of LSU's non-conference opponents are also in the Top 25, including No. 4 Ohio State (7-0) and No. 20 Michigan (2-1).

The Tigers take on No. 54 South Florida (2-1) this Sunday at W.T. "Dub" Robinson Stadium at 12 p.m. CT. Come out and support the Tigers and enjoy some free pizza.
