BATON ROUGE -- Heading into its day-after-Thanksgiving matchup against Arkansas, the LSU football team continued to advance in the coaches' poll after a 41-35 thrilling victory over rival Ole Miss.

LSU (9-2, 5-2 SEC) maintained its outside chances for postseason championship games, as it advanced on spot to No. 7 in the USA Today Coaches' Poll. LSU remained No. 7 in the Bowl Championship Series standings and No. 8 in the Associated Press Top 25 - 16 points behind previous No. 2 Kansas State - despite a shuffle in the top 7.

The Tigers travel to Fayetteville - not Little Rock - for the biennial road trip for the first time since 1992. Kickoff on Friday is set for 1:30 p.m. CT on CBS.
