Notes on the Tigers
LSU picked up a 3-1 victory over Ole Miss during the two teams only meeting of the 2012 season. The Tigers have now picked up wins in eight of their last 11 meetings with the Rebels going back to 2007. Madie Jones buried 25 kills, a SEC season-high for a four-set match in 2012. The 25 spikes for Jones also equaled a career-best for a four-set match. The Plano, Texas, native has provided double digit kills in all 11 of LSU's wins this season. She enters next week's action 14 kills away from moving past Meagan Davis [1998-2001] for 17th place on the program's all-time list. Desiree Elliott chipped in 15 kills on a crisp .406 hitting percentage. She has ripped 10 or more kills during 12 of her last 14 outings dating back to Sept. 16. With her 44 assists versus Ole Miss, Malorie Pardo eclipsed former All-American Sam Dabbs [2008-09] for the No. 7 spot in career helpers. She has compiled a SEC-leading 10 double-doubles in conference play. Helen Boyle has added 3.07 kills and 3.05 digs per set during league action.
