BATON ROUGE -- On Monday, the Southeastern Conference and its network television partners announced kickoff for the Oct. 13 LSU football game against South Carolina will be 7 p.m. CT on ESPN.

LSU's only home game in October is setup to be its second-straight against a top-10 opponent, as South Carolina is ranked No. 6 by both major polls. It would mark the second such matchup in the 19-game series history (1987 Gator Bowl).

The Gamecocks face No. 5 Georgia in Columbia this weekend.

LSU (5-0, 1-0 SEC), which travels to face No. 10 Florida at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, has won its past four meetings with South Carolina by an average of 17 points. The teams last met in 2008.
