BATON ROUGE -- Hours after a bomb threat caused an evacuation of the LSU campus and canceled his weekly press luncheon, football head coach Les Miles spoke to the media to recap the Idaho win and preview the Auburn game.

Miles typically addresses the media just after noon during his "Lunch With Les" press conference presented by Subway. However, a broadcast message to students, faculty and staff at LSU was sent at 11:30 a.m. ordering all to evacuate the campus.

Opening Statement
"Upon review of the film, I think our football team played a really good Idaho team. I think our quarterback played well, and I thought our defense was dominant on the night, minus two mistakes; one by our offense, one by our corner. I think we're consistent on special teams. I think we will be a dominant special teams unit. We will be tested again this week, but consistency is a big deal there. Our special teams seem to cover kicks. They seem to kick it where we want them to kick it. I like us at special teams."

"Offensively we were a little more balanced. We had just under 500 yards of total offense. We could run it and throw it, minus a mistake in the redzone, which we are going to get fixed. We will need to improve this next week. The caliber of opponent increases, and the game is more important. It's a conference opponent, and a division opponent. We need to play well."

On today's events...
"It's the kind of thing that you just don't know. You rationalize it as not a sincere threat. But I can't make a determination for everyone in this building. We kept our players away until they gave us reason to believe that this building was not compromised. We had a meeting tonight where we went over film. We did not practice today. I think our team will respond and our preparation won't be hurt. These things are real issues. It's not morally right to come into this building. Several fathers here had their kids evacuated from University High. There was some confusion and tense moments. I hope they find the guy that did this, and certainly make him pay a price."

On running back Alfred Blue's injury timetable
"I don't know if this week is realistic. I think that in a couple of weeks (Blue) will have more opportunity."

On wide receiver Russell Shepard's performance against Idaho
"(Shepard) is improving. He continues to improve. He is working hard in practice. He's taking strides that he ought to, and that he needs to continue to. Just because a guy catches a couple balls doesn't mean he did it all right. The importance of doing everything right is a responsibility of all of our players. I think Russell is understanding that better."

On Ronald Martin's first start...
"I thought Ronald Martin was really good. I thought he tackled well. I thought he handled his responsibilities well. He hustled to get to balls. I liked Ronald Martin in that game."

On playing on the road for the fist time...
"We are looking forward to getting on the road. We have prepared with road mannerisms here. We pipe in music at every practice. I think our guys are looking forward to getting on the road."

On playing at Jordan-Hare Stadium...
"I have played some really quality teams there, and not done as well as we have liked. It's a really live venue. It's a wonderful place to play, with a very competitive team. We will look forward to going there."

On facing Auburn...
"They have great speed. They are running the football with want and desire. They will put two tight ends in the game. They are a little bit different than the spread teams that Auburn has had in the past. They have a very fast yet power running attack. They do a nice job passing as well. The view that we have of them is very capable."

On running back Michael Ford returning kicks...
"Michael Ford had a smile on his face when he was back there catching it. He really comes out the spot like he is supposed to. He has great speed and he is physical. He runs with ball security. We think that's a natural home for him. We would like him to do that the rest of the year the best he can."
