Talented sprinter and flyer who has continued his progress in the transition from meter competition to short course yards … Ranked second on the team in the 100 freestyle (44.54) and third on the team in the 100 butterfly (48.71) … Posted his season lows at the SEC Championships … Was the first alternate in the 100 free at SEC’s … Notched his midseason bests in the 100 free with a 10th place finish and in the 50 free with a 13th place finish at the Phil Hansel midseason invitational … Captured the consolation finals of the 200 free (1:40.66) and the 100 butterfly (50.33) at the midseason meet … Took fourth in the 100 free (46.81) in a win over Alabama … Finished in fifth in the 200 free with a time of 1:45.12 in a dual win against SMU … Earned his first varsity letter.
