Isaac: Volleyball's Classic Moved to Houston
BATON ROUGE - The Tiger Classic originally scheduled for August 31-September 1 inside the Maravich Center has been moved to Houston, Texas and Rice University as announced Monday by LSU Athletics Administration in preparation due to Tropical Storm Isaac and travel schedules of the participating teams.
The tournament field consisting of LSU, No. 7 Purdue, No. 12 Washington and Rice in addition to the six-match schedule will remain the same. Matches will be played at Fox Gym located next to Tudor Fieldhouse on the Rice campus and admission is $5.
"Moving to the Tiger Classic to Houston is a precautionary measure," Senior Associate Athletics Director and Senior Woman Administrator Miriam Segar said. "We are grateful to Rice University and appreciative of their administration for the support and understanding during this situation."
