BATON ROUGE - Former LSU All-American pitcher Brittany Mack secured her second career professional win as the USSSA Florida Pride defeated the Carolina Diamonds by an 11-6 margin Sunday at Tiger Park.

The final game of the four-game series was postponed due to rain and will be made up at a later date at a different location.

Mack finished the contest with four strikeouts in 4.2 frames of action before giving way to Cat Osterman for the final seven outs of the game. For the season, Mack improved her record to 2-3.

"It was an amazing experience to come back to Tiger Park and pitch in-front of the wonderful LSU fans who supported me for four years," Mack said. "This is something I will never forget, and I can't thank the fans enough for making this a memorable weekend."

Carolina pulled within 7-6 after a three-run fifth inning. The Pride fired back with four runs of their own during the home half of the sixth. A trio of former SEC players picked up RBIs as Georgia's Kristyn Sandberg ripped a single, Florida's Kelsey Bruder cranked a double and Tennessee's Tonya Callahan belted another two-bagger for the final margin of 11-6.

After 19 games of the season, the USSSA Pride has tallied a 10-9 record and is in sole possession of second place in the National Pro Fastpitch standings. The 2012 NPF Championship series is set for August 23-26 in Rosemont, Ill.
